Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for the integrity and stability of the enterprise network and associated infrastructure. This is achieved through planning, designing, implementing, and ongoing maintenance and support of WAN, LAN, and wireless networks across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs and deploys functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
  • Configures and installs network hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Monitors network performance and troubleshoots issues to ensure high availability.
  • Oversees and helps perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
  • Collaborates with IT team members and other departments to support business needs.
  • Implements security measures and ensures compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Maintains documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to users and junior staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 7 years of practical IT networking and network design experience.
  • Deep understanding and operational knowledge of network and routing protocols, network device configuration and programming, and enterprise wireless systems.
  • Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware on networking equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills required.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Knowledge of IT systems and support practices.
  • Knowledge of IT service management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of cyber security and privacy principles and best practices.
  • Ability to make effective and decisive decisions.
  • Ability to effectively learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to embrace the concept of continual improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and deal with changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness.
